FAQs

Q?

What type of file do you prefer for your printing presses?

A.

We prefer print-ready PDF's.  Linked images and artwork, such as TIFF's and JPG's, should be 300 dpi or higher at the final size used in the publication and converted to CMYK.

Q?

How much bleed should I have if my image is to be printed to the trim edge?

A.

If bleeds are intended, please add 1/8 inch (.125 ") of image beyond each bleed trim edge. Please remember to keep type and logos at least 3/16" from the trim edge.

Q?

How do I convert my Word document into a PDF?

A.

In Word, go to: File, Print, then "Save As PDF " using the "PDF button". Always create the highest print quality PDF when possible.

Q?

What resolution should my artwork and photos be saved at?

A.

For the best results, your artwork and images should be at 300 dpi or more. Note: you cannot add higher resolution if the image was low-quality to begin with.
